Use Wobo in ChatGPT and Claude

Connect your Wobo account to ChatGPT or Claude to search jobs, check your applications and create tailored resumes right in the chat.

Written by Martha Schwartz

Wobo works inside ChatGPT and Claude. Once you connect your Wobo account, you can ask about your job search in plain language, and the chat answers with your own Wobo data.

What you can do

  • Search jobs. Describe what you want, for example "remote product manager roles in fintech". Wobo searches with your saved job preferences, and you can add filters such as workplace type, seniority or minimum salary for one search.

  • Look closer at a job. Ask about the requirements, responsibilities, salary, benefits or visa support of a job from your search, and get the link to the original posting.

  • Track your applications. See what Wobo has applied to, what is still pending, and how many applications are in each status for any date range.

  • See what needs you. Find applications that are waiting for your input, with a link to fix each one in Wobo.

  • Review your resume. Get feedback on the work history, education, skills, certifications and languages saved in your Wobo profile.

  • Check your fit. Compare your profile with a job's requirements and see which required skills you already list.

  • Create a tailored resume. Ask for a resume for a job you found. Wobo saves it as a new resume in your Wobo resume builder, where you can review it, pick a design and download the PDF.

Try asking:

  • "Find remote backend engineer jobs that match my Wobo profile."

  • "How are my Wobo applications going this month?"

  • "Make me a resume tailored to the second job."

Before you start

You need a Wobo account. If you don't have one yet, sign up at wobo.ai and set your job preferences first, so searches match what you are looking for.

Add Wobo to ChatGPT

If Wobo is listed in the ChatGPT plugin directory:

  1. Go to chatgpt.com/plugins and search for Wobo.

  2. Select Wobo, then select Connect.

  3. Sign in to Wobo and select Allow access (see Sign in and allow access below).

Until Wobo appears in the directory, add it as a custom app:

  1. Select the + button, then Add custom MCP server.

  2. Enter Wobo as the name. The description is up to you.

  3. Under Connection, enter this address: https://api.wobo.ai/mcp

  4. For authentication, choose OAuth.

  5. Review the warning, select I understand and want to continue, then select Create as a plugin.

  6. Sign in to Wobo and select Allow access.

Your ChatGPT plan or workspace settings decide whether you can add custom apps. If you don't see Add custom MCP server, use the directory listing once it is available.

Use it in a chat: start a new conversation and ask your question. To make sure ChatGPT uses Wobo, type @ and choose Wobo first.

Add Wobo to Claude

If Wobo is listed in the Claude Connectors Directory: find Wobo in the directory, select Connect, then sign in to Wobo and select Allow access.

Until then, add it as a custom connector:

  1. In Claude, go to Customize > Connectors (claude.ai/customize/connectors).

  2. Select Add custom connector.

  3. Enter this server address: https://api.wobo.ai/mcp

  4. If Claude asks how to sign in, choose Sign in now. For OAuth client, choose Use Claude's published identity.

  5. Select Add, then sign in to Wobo and select Allow access.

On the Free plan, Claude allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the connector in Organization settings > Connectors, and then each member connects their own Wobo account from Customize > Connectors.

Use it in a chat: select the + button in the chat box, choose Connectors, and make sure Wobo is turned on. Then ask your question.

Sign in and allow access

When you connect, a Wobo page opens:

  1. Sign in to Wobo the way you usually do.

  2. Check the account shown at the top. If it is the wrong one, select Not you? to switch accounts.

  3. Review what the app will and won't be able to do, then select Allow access.

You only need to do this once per app. Select Cancel if you change your mind; nothing is shared.

What the app can see and do

With your permission, ChatGPT or Claude can:

  • See your saved job preferences

  • Search jobs and show job details

  • Check your applications and what needs your attention

  • Read your resume details: work history, education, skills, certifications, languages and projects

  • Save new resumes to your Wobo resume builder

Wobo keeps your search results privately for 30 days so you can see more results later in the same chat.

What stays in Wobo

  • Your contact details, date of birth, demographic answers and work-authorization answers are never shared with the chat. Contact details are added only to resumes saved in your own Wobo account.

  • The app cannot apply to jobs. The Apply button on a job card opens the job's original posting. Applications through Wobo are made in Wobo, from your Feed or with Autopilot.

  • The app cannot change your profile, your job preferences or your existing resumes, and it cannot send messages for you. The only thing it can save is a new resume you ask for.

Remove access

  1. In Wobo, open Account settings > Security > Connected apps and select Manage, or go straight to wobo.ai/dashboard/account/connected-apps.

  2. Select Remove access next to ChatGPT or Claude.

The app can no longer read your Wobo data. The next time you ask it about Wobo, it will ask you to connect again. You can also remove Wobo from the app itself: in ChatGPT from chatgpt.com/plugins, and in Claude from Customize > Connectors.

Troubleshooting

The app asks me to sign in or reconnect. Your access was removed, has expired, or a new permission is needed. Connect Wobo again from the app's plugin or connector settings and select Allow access. If you connected Wobo before resume saving was available, reconnect once so the app can save resumes.

Claude asks for my approval every time it uses Wobo. Go to Customize > Connectors, select Wobo, and set the tools you trust to Always allow. You can still block any tool you don't want Claude to use.

I see plain text instead of job cards. Job and resume cards show in regular ChatGPT and Claude chats. In Claude Cowork, Wobo answers as text instead of cards. Everything else works the same.

My search says my saved locations need attention. Open your job preferences in Wobo, select your locations again from the list, and save. Then search again.

I've hit a search or resume limit. To keep things fast for everyone, there is an hourly and daily limit on searches from connected apps, and you can create up to 20 resumes a day this way. Wait a little and try again.

The resume link doesn't open. The link opens only for you. Sign in to Wobo with the same account you connected.

ChatGPT or Claude asks me to confirm before opening a link. The Apply button opens the job's original posting on another website, so the app checks with you first. Confirm to continue.

The resume builder says my screen is too small. The Wobo resume builder needs a wide window. Open the resume link in a desktop browser, or make the window larger, and the builder loads.

Wobo shows the wrong account's data. Remove access in Connected apps, connect again, and use Not you? on the Wobo page to pick the right account.

Privacy

Wobo shares only the information listed above, and only with the apps you connect. Read more in our Privacy Policy. Your conversations in ChatGPT or Claude are also covered by that app's own privacy terms.
