Use this guide to check when your Autopilot trial ends and understand when billing starts.
Check your trial
Open Settings from the sidebar.
Select Subscription and read the trial status.
What you will see: “Your trial ends {date}, then billing begins” shows the date your paid subscription will start unless you cancel first.
The free trial lasts 5 days and is available on Autopilot only. Unlimited has no free trial. Each eligible account can use the trial once; previous paid subscribers may not see the trial option.
The trial includes roughly 20 applications. After that allowance is used, new automatic applications pause until the paid plan begins. Reaching the allowance does not mean your account is broken.
Cancel before billing starts
In Settings → Subscription, select Cancel plan.
Continue through the cancellation flow and confirm the cancellation before your trial ends.
What you will see: your subscription status reflects the cancellation. Applications stop when the trial ends, and the trial does not convert to a paid subscription.
If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your paid Autopilot subscription starts automatically and you are charged for the first billing period.
If you subscribed through the iPhone app, manage the subscription through Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone.
Start the paid plan early
Open Settings → Subscription.
Select Skip Trial & Start when you are ready to end the trial.
What you will see: your payment method is charged immediately and your paid plan begins. If the charge fails, the upgrade is rolled back and the account returns to Free.
Ask about an unexpected charge
A charge can be the start of your paid plan, the start of a new billing period, or an early trial conversion you selected. Paid subscriptions renew on their monthly or quarterly cycle.
If the charge still looks wrong, email [email protected] from your account email with its approximate date and amount. Support can review a duplicate charge or a charge after cancellation. For an App Store purchase, use Apple’s Report a Problem page.
